Halfway Reflection- 3 Tips
1) Some behaviors that I have used to keep up with this course are open-mindedness, creativity, and intuition. I had already developed these traits, but they have especially developed in this class. I think open-mindedness is important when learning any new information, and I try to go into every class I take with an open-minded attitude. In the assignments where we had to come up with a unique opportunity and solution, I needed to think creatively. Finally, I have used my intuition a lot in this course, because it's important for an entrepreneur to identify the problems and possible solutions of others.
2) I definitely felt like giving up a few times in this course, like when I procrastinated on an assignment and considered just taking the bad grade instead of putting in the work to do the assignment. My desire to complete this course to the fullest by completing each assignment pulled me through. I think moments like these have really contributed to my tenaciousness. I hope to grow even more tenacious with time.
3) The first tip I would offer an incoming student would be to create a schedule and use it to hold yourself accountable. Assure that you give yourself enough time to learn from the exercises and prepare for the cupcakes. The second tip I would give is to commit yourself to the course. You're taking the class, and you might as well give it your best effort and actively try to learn. The third tip I would offer is to maybe take the class with a friend, so you can hold each other accountable. My roommate is in this class too, and we have been able to remind each other of deadlines and help each other study for cupcakes.
