Solving the Problem

The problem I'll be addressing is one that I have mentioned before, which is that people do not know the best way to take care of their skin. Not everyone has the money or opportunity to visit a dermatologist, and it's hard to find a consistent, reliable, scientifically-based source on the Internet.

The service I would provide would be an online database where people could input their information, including pictures of skin and their concerns, and receive a consultation by a dermatologist, esthetician, or trained specialist. These people would have to provide some information to authenticate their position. I think this would be especially popular during quarantine, because it's hard for people to visit offices, especially for the immunocompromised.

I intend to sell full access to the website, after giving a free, simple consultation. The initial consultation would include short term, simple advice so that consumer would be motivated to buy full access to the site. I think I would sell access in the form of a subscription, and I would charge anywhere from monthly to every few months based on the consumer's needs. with each subscription renewal, they would receive an additional consultation, access to the websites database of safe, recommended products, and some free product samples in the mail.

  1. Hey Haven!
I really like this idea. Taking care of my skin has always been important to me, and with all the doctors/facialists that I have been to, I have been able to get a good idea of what works for me. If I had this whole journey condensed into a single website, I would have saved a lot of time and money. Another idea I have would be to give this service to doctor's offices and places like that. That way, they can offer it to their customers and give you a commission, as well.
