22A Elevator Pitch No. 3

I was very thankful to receive a lot of constructive feedback on my last pitch. I got a lot of helpful general feedback, like reminders to maintain eye contact, and some reassurance that my message was clear. A specific note that was really helpful was to remove one of my lines that mentioned staying young and beautiful. The person who left this feedback reminded me that claims like this might deter customers who don't consider their looks important, which I would not want to do. My service is designed to help everyone take care of their skin in a way that focuses on health and wellness, and though taking care of your skin does decrease the appearance of aging (like wrinkles and sunspots) this is not the focus of my brand. That being said, this feedback reminded me of what my brand was all about in a very polite and constructive way. I did remove the line, and I did my best to maintain eye contact with the camera. I think I felt much more comfortable and confident in my pitch after adjusting it the final time, and I think it shows in my tone and body language. I definitely do not think my pitch is perfect by any means, but I am proud of it and I am very grateful to the people who have helped me make it better.
Wonderful job on this. You set the bar high for everyone. I really don’t have anything bad to say about this pitch. Instead I chose to comment because I was “the person” who mentioned removing “staying young and beautiful.” I would rather like to take this moment to praise you on how well you took the constructive criticism. I am well aware, based on how well your last pitch was, that you had put a lot of work into your product/service idea, and that it can be very difficult to consider other people’s opinions when you have invested so much time and effort already. Every ounce of your poise and professionalism was exuded by your fantastic performance in your pitch.
ReplyDeleteHey Haven, well done on your final elevator pitch. You sounded a lot more confident while pitching, and improved when it came to eye contact. The statistic you include helps bring importance to the issue. I think you do a really good job making it sound like a real and exciting product by giving it a name and slogan. There are not any improvements I can think of making, you did really well.
